Promote a safe and compliant workplace by monitoring site activities, identifying hazards and supporting effective occupational safety and health programs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine site inspections, hazard assessments and safety observations.
Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations and awareness activities.
Monitor compliance with permits, PPE requirements and approved work procedures.
Prepare inspection reports, incident records, safety statistics and corrective-action logs.
Assist with incident investigations and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills and regulatory safety requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, technical qualification or relevant training in occupational safety and health.
Completed the required BOSH or COSH safety-officer training.
Relevant experience in construction, electrical, industrial or engineering-site safety.
Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and incident reporting.
Good communication, documentation and coordination skills.
Willing to travel or work at project sites when required.
Preferred Qualifications
DOLE-accredited safety training appropriate to the assigned Safety Officer level.
First-aid, emergency-response or fire-safety training.
Experience with electrical, construction, power or industrial projects.
